r8 13^50 Spatha (max & gold)
Last EDIT - Jan. 17 - After letting it run ~5 days/3 bumps on my sell thread, The Mountain was the only interested bidder. So he won it for the 70k starting bid/reserve I set. I'm confident it has gone to a good home in an appropriate collection. Again, thanks to everyone for the help!

EDIT - Thanks to everyone's help here, I picked 70k as the reserve for this sword. I just listed it for bids on my sell thread. If this thread is still unlocked when/if it sells, then I will try to edit this OP with the final sale price.
----------------------
Hi folks,
A friend of mine who does very little trading talked me into helping him with the piles of stuff he keeps because it seems too nice to merch but never bothers to sell. The vast majority of it I think I either know or can easily find PC on, but this one has me rather stumped.
It's a max damage, gold-text, r8 Spatha with inherent 13^50.
As I understand it, that's "prebuff" because modern gold loot cannot drop with a damage mod lower than 14^50. Is that correct? If so, this may be somewhat collectible. Would anyone be willing and able to share their ideas on reasonable reserves for this one? I realize it's the sort of thing that might be next to impossible to PC buyout ahead of time; I'd just like to get a feel for how low is "too low" since this isn't my sword. (If I sell it, it will be on his behalf.)
I asked one trusted friend already, and he told me he sold one like this a while back for 15e in Kama after getting no interest on it here at Guru.
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Luny

Thanks for the reply! That's quite helpful info (and confirms some guesses I've been making about this being one of those, "really low supply and really low demand" kind of things, too.)

And thanks to you, too!
I can understand the sentiment that such a thing is "priceless," yes - really, I can! The trouble is there's only so much room/space, and we just can't all collect the same weirdness. My friend told me this was a drop he got himself many years ago and held onto because he thought it was likely worthless to anyone else, but he couldn't bring himself to merch it. When I told him there do seem to be at least some players into collecting such things, he was jazzed! Neither of us are nearly so interested in boring plats or pink goos as we are in seeing him get a storage space back (which he has temporarily borrowed from me now) and this funky sword get into a nice collection where it might be appreciated for its "dam old and a rly nice part of the GW history"-ness.
Sadly, when it comes to getting weird gear to "good homes," sometimes I'm left with no better option than the dull process of selling it to the highest bidder. (Some kind of scavenger hunt or a rock-paper-scissors game by PM would be vastly more interesting to me, but I don't know how many players interested in collecting such a sword would be all that keen on playing my dorky games.)
So, I'm working on a big update to my sell thread, which will include this sword. Thanks to everyone's help, I'm going to set it at 70k starting bid, let it run a few bumps and sell it to the highest bidder. It seems like 70kish is about as close as any of us can get on guessing reserve. It's nice that there's so much agreement right around that area, though!
Cheers folks!
